Award winning photographer/mother/musician Teresa Nelson has been working as a portrait photographer with musicians - as well as families and children - for 17 years. She has worked with some of the leading musicians on the scene today.
Musical Mothers is a planned book based on the stories of mothers and adult children in the music field. Mothers who are musical-their methods, emotions,insights, successes and failures with essay and photography – can teach us how music can be used as a tool of communication. And by interviewing their adult children we can learn how music has made an impact in their life. We are seeking Musical Mothers and their adult children who are interested in documenting their experiences in a photo-essay book project.
